With this letter I would like to ask the esteemed Council of the holy monastery to notify me if it has received my letter conveyed by the Archimandrite and Doctor, Chrysanthos Makris, and on its decision on my request contained in the letter. After offering my brotherly salute in Christ, I take the courage to appeal to your brotherly affection to support my book, whose contents are included herewith. The entire contents of the book are cited in detail, and manifest its great importance and the significant benefit which will be derived from its publication.

The written works by the Saint indicate his holy passion
His writing and publication of his works was an accomplishment of his godly passion to spiritually strengthen the people of the Church. He could not overlook the fact that both laymen and the clergy were deeply ignorant and that there was a lack of spiritual books those days.

The previously unpublished letters which Saint Nektarios had sent to the Great and Holy Monastery of Vatopedi

At the archives of Vatopedi monastery eleven previously unknown letters were discovered, written by Saint Nektarios Kefalas, Metropolitan of Pentapoleos, and popular Saint of Aigina.
In this article we will publish these letters. I would like to extend my warm thanks and gratitude to

Egypt calls for antiquities unity


States which say artefacts have been stolen and displayed overseas should unite to recover their stolen heritage, Egypt’s top archaeologist has said.

Zahi Hawass, head of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), urged culture officials from around the world to draw up lists of missing items.

Some 20 countries are represented at the two-day conference in Cairo aimed at recovering artefacts from overseas.
